The most complete holiday we offer, and the one we recommend most often to families and honeymooners alike. Five nights of game viewing in the Maasai Mara and Amboseli are followed by six nights on Diani Beach, connected by a ninety-minute flight.
Starting on safari and finishing on the coast is deliberate. The early mornings and long drives are energising at the beginning of a trip, and the Indian Ocean is the perfect place to unwind at the end. You also avoid the disappointment of leaving the beach to go on safari in the rain.
On the coast we use small boutique hotels and private villas rather than large resorts. Diani has genuine substance beyond the sand, reef diving, kite surfing, dhow sailing at sunset and the Shimba Hills National Reserve inland, and we will build a week that suits your appetite for activity.

Fly to the Maasai Mara
A morning flight to the Mara, game drive en route to camp and lunch on arrival. Afternoon drive and sundowners on the plains.

The Mara River
A full day working the river line for the migration herds and the crossing points, with a picnic lunch in the bush.

Day 4
Big cats and the conservancy
Dawn drive for lion and cheetah, then across to a private conservancy for an afternoon walking safari and a night drive.

Day 5
Amboseli and Kilimanjaro
Fly south to Amboseli. Afternoon among the elephant herds with Kilimanjaro on the horizon.

Amboseli at dawn
An early drive for the clearest view of the mountain and the most active wildlife, then a final afternoon drive.

Fly to Diani Beach

Shimba Hills
